This is a true story of a family who lost a child at a young age. This story contains such personal and sensitive matter that only someone who has a heart and purpose to help others heal and find freedom; can write and share. This is an outpouring of truth, honest feelings, struggles, challenges and putting all hope in God. This story proves that faith and trust in Jesus Christ can get us through anything in life.
Billy was sweet, loveable, bright, energetic and a happy child. He was loved greatly by his family and he in turn loved them from the depths of his pure heart. I fell in love with Billy as soon as I met him. He not only recognized beauty with his eyes but captured it with his heart. He was easy going and well behaved, allowing his parents to take him everywhere while they grew more in love with him day by day.
When Billy became sick his parents sought his medical attention, juggled their jobs, relationships, family, home and did everything possible to help make him well again. During this time they draw closer to each other, Billy and God. Billy was so insightful that he understood God and God’s love. He demonstrated this by his words and also drawing pictures.
The Author; Judith Golightly succumbs to emotional exhaustion during Billy’s illness; which is certainly understandable. She prays and turns everything over to God while experiencing a supernatural moment in His peaceful presence. During her duties of caring for Billy, praying for his healing and accepting his cancer, the Author learns to trust God one day at a time and allows Him to carry her and her family through this devastation. This journey and its process itself isn’t anything I’ve ever been through and not a life situation I’d ever desire to face. It’s beyond my imagination how they moved through this time with their faith intact and making it to the other side even stronger. It’s miraculous how God’s grace can be all we need. “But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
I highly recommend “Billy’s Story”. This story is full of amazing grace, astounding love and transparent truth which will increase your faith and draw you closer to God. The truth is; God is always with us and He will never leave or forsake us. Nothing happens by chance or coincidence; we are all guided perfectly by our loving and redeeming Savior to reach our destiny. Judith Golightly has chosen to share her story with the world to help you know God and His love in a deeper and more meaningful way and to declare that all things work together for good.
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)

Words are everywhere. Words deliver information, knowledge and power. When we read something, we delve into the realm and mind of the one who wrote the words. Our eyes see them, our brains decipher them and they are implanted into us forever and stored. Words have the power to bring hope, peace, love, healing, joy and good. Words also have the power to deceive, manipulate, destroy, lie and lead us astray.
We need be cautious as to what words we read and what we do with them. We can’t believe everything we read. The only words which are healing, complete truth, all-powerful, world changing, alive and carry all the answers and wisdom we need are the words of God.
We need to make an effort every day to read the living word of God; ask God to renew our minds and speak life into us and our situations.
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
Help us to make good choices in what we read and do with the information. Guard our eyes from things which are harmful and place positive and life-giving information in front of us. Remind us to spend time with you daily in prayer and reading your word. Increase our faith to believe in you and your power. Your word says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) We know what we read affects us; let the words we see the most every day, be your words. In Jesus name, Amen
Passionately leading you closer to Jesus Christ. Helping you break through insecurity and doubt, encouraging you to live a life of freedom and healing. Motivating you to a deeper level of faith in Jesus Christ.
