I grabbed my hot tea and wandered off to the sun room after a glimpse of the sunrise caught my eye. It was a beautiful bright orange, brilliantly glowing touching my spirit in a special way. This was God’s way of reminding me of His beauty and His perfect peace. It created a sense of reassurance only God can give. It reminded me of Him and that He is the Maker and Creator of all things. It was enough to draw me into His presence and refocus my attention on what truly matters in life and what our hope needs to be in. Our hope needs to be in our loving God who holds our lives in His hands.
In the busyness of life, even if it’s just for a moment that we can stop and take a deep breath, even if it’s just for a moment that we can stop and say a quick prayer for help; those moments matter and in those moments, “God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) My prayer for you, is that you will have those moments today and everyday. Those moments where you can take a deep breath, refocus on God and be ever filled by His peace that surpasses all understanding and your faith will be increased beyond your imagination. Amen.
"Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world." (Psalm 46:10)

Life is but moments of time in constant progression transforming into something new; creating what is called, the past. Everyone has a past. Maybe our past is one full of loving memories or one full of heartache and pain; perhaps a combination of both. The good news is that God uses our past. What we’ve experienced physically, emotionally and spiritually can be used to testify of God’s goodness.
We smile on the outside, but our soul aches within and desperately hurts inside. We have friends, but desire a friendship with someone who genuinely cares about us. We look for answers to our problems, pain, and circumstances by reading our horoscope, viewing T.V., performing internet searches and reading self help books. But these things lead us searching elsewhere instead of leading us to seek God for all of our needs. The world is always changing in its popular strategies and advice, but it offers false hope. Jesus is the real inspiration we need. What we need is more “relationship” with Jesus.
We can help others by openly declaring the hope we have and know; by sharing our stories, faith, and the message of the cross. God will give us the courage to step out in boldness for His name’s sake; for the cause of Christ and the purpose of saving souls. Our willingness to support and advise others with truth, can lead them to Jesus where they can learn to trust in and rely on Him for wisdom and strength. Don’t fear opening up and encouraging someone by offering the hope that has brought you, into today. Think about the words, strength, peace, and guidance God used someone to share with you, drawing you closer to Him.
I wouldn't motivate you to do something I won’t do myself. I have recently written a book that transparently shares my true life story. God has sustained me, given me courage, faith and healing I never knew existed. I believed I had nothing, until I realized I had everything, because I knew Jesus. I know that sharing my story with the world will help others and encourage many to a deeper relationship with Christ. I invite you to read my book, Raised by Strangers. Dare to share your past and don't fear what others may think or say. God has a plan to work all things out for His good!
