You were right and I was wrong.
Okay, now stop there. Do you see the period after the word wrong?
That's the end of the sentence.
The end of what needs said.
Sometimes we keep talking and let our "but" get in the way.
"But, I just wanted to"...."But, I meant to say"...."But, you needed to hear"...."But You!"....
The truth is we don't need to rationalize. We don't need to justify or explain ourselves away. We need to simply say, " You were right and I was wrong." We can apologize and pray for God to change our hearts. We can take ownership of our mistakes and sometimes our blatant rude behavior.
And we can admit our mistakes; rather intentional or not.
Let's allow God to work in us without reflecting onto someone else.
Something so simple, is yet so profound. Humility can make a significant difference in our relationships and also allow God to do a mighty work in us!
Is it easy? Almost never!
Is it worth it? Always!
"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor." (1 Peter 5:6)
