People quit exercising when they don't see muscle in one week. Some quit diets when they don't loose ten pounds right away. Drug and Alcohol rehab programs are called pointless when patients start craving their substance. Do we not realize we are the ones who have to be faithful and diligent while we wait for results. We have a responsibility to ourselves and our loved ones to stick with the plan, persevering in all situations.
As Christians, we have a responsibility to pray. When we pray, we may not see immediate results but something awesome happens in the Heavens. God hears us and He works in our situations; on our behalf. We have to pray, pray without ceasing, pray like we mean it and pray KNOWING that with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26) Our Prayers don't come in a microwave container; our prayers come from our hearts and God answers them according to His will and timing. He knows what is best for us and He sees the end from the beginning.
"Our prayers never die."
They are eternal and God answers each and every one. Be thankful God does not give us what we want when we want it. I want a lot of things RIGHT NOW, but it is not God's best timing. So, I wait and believe in faith with all the hope that is within me while God prepares my heart and renews my mind to walk in the ministry He is preparing.
Think about some people in the world and even consider all the famous persons who received fame, money and popularity immediately. Oh how it devastated some of them, failed them, cost them their marriages, their lives and how miserable many live today.
I will take what God has over what the world offers any day. I will pray and wait on God.
Will you surrender your will, prayers, wants, desires and needs to our all knowing God today? We will wait on Him together.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
